He is considered one of the most powerful voices in contemporary Romanian drama. His works have been performed in 16 countries. Among other awards, he won the Heidelberg Stuckemarkt Innovation Award 2007, the Best Play London Fringe Report Awards 2006 and the Irish Embassy Award 2010. He was the first Romanian to be selected for Berlin Stuckemarkt, participated in the biennial New Plays from Europe Wiesbaden 2012 and was one of the 35 European playwrights commissioned for the anniversary edition Berliner Theatertreffen Stuckemarkt 2013.
