Choreographer and iconoclastic dancer, Rocío Molina has coined her own language based on the reinvented tradition of a flamenco that respects its essence and embraces the avant-garde. Radically free, she combines technical virtuosity, contemporary research and conceptual risk in her pieces. Unafraid to weave alliances with other disciplines and artists, his choreographies are unique scenic events that draw on ideas and cultural forms ranging from cinema to literature, from philosophy to painting. Her artistic quest has been recognized with awards of the relevance of the recent Silver Lion of Dance 2022 of the Venice Biennale, Gold Medal of Fine Arts in 2022, the National Dance Award in 2010, the UK National Dance Award in 2019 and 2016 and up to four Max Awards. She is one of the Spanish artists with the greatest international projection and her works have been seen in the most important stages around the world.
