Alfredo Staffolani (1982) is an actor, author and director. He wrote and premiered The Wickedness of the World – on the motifs of Pasolini’s Mamma Roma – Because of the Snow, The Son After and Loop among others. He also directed Emma Dante’s Mishelle de Sant’Oliva, Jon Fosse’s A Summer Day. He also wrote Atlántico, directed by Luciano Suardi and Los Golpes, awarded and published by INT. He is guest playwright at the Residenzteather in Munich and the Royal Court Theatre in London. He was also resident artist at the Copycat Academy in Toronto, Sala Beckett in Barcelona and Experimenta Sur in Bogotá. He worked as an actor with Rubén Szchumacher, Luciano Suardi, Maruja Bustamante, Nastalia Casielles, Analía Fedra García. He won the Bienal de Arte Joven, was nominated for the ACE and Teatro de Mundo awards and won the Estrella de Mar award for his play El Ardor. His work toured national and international festivals. His work has been translated into English, German, Catalan, French and Polish. He is currently working with Editorial Blatt & Ríos in the edition of his collected work.
