She is a Uruguayan playwright, teacher, theatre director and politician. She graduated as a literature teacher at the Instituto de Profesores Artigas (IPA) in Montevideo. Before returning to EMAD, she was Coordinator of Performing Arts at the Ministry of Education and Culture in her country, where she spent four years, and has won the Florencio Prize twice. Since 2007 she has been a member of the company Complot. Since 2015 she has been Director of Culture of the Municipality of Montevideo.
